Owner of NewLife Chiropractic (Hartwell Chiropractic), Dr. Daniel Huschka worked with Dr. Jeff Hartwell for several years before purchasing the clinic from him in January of 2024. Dr. Daniel partners with his wife, Emily Huschka, in bringing our beloved clinic into a new era for our patients, but one with healing still on the fore front. Dr. Daniel Huschka is an ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) certified doctor, and specializes in pediatrics along with perinatal. He is certified in the Webster technique, which promotes optimal prenatal health. Dr. Huschka is a native Oregonian, and has been practicing Chiropractic since his licensing in 2019. He has 3 children with his wife, Emily, and partners with her in raising their family with a holistic approach. Before becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Huschka attended YWAM and completed a missionary/DTS training in Hawaii and New Zealand. It was soon after that when he discovered the healing properties of chiropractic care, during treatment of his own physical ailments. Dr. Huschka approaches his patient care with the mindset of helping their health improve in the long term, instead of just fixing their ailments “for now”.

In 2018, she relocated to Portland, Oregon, where she now enjoys the vibrant greenery and continues to offer compassionate, individualized care to her patients. Dr. Kelly’s approach is rooted in deep listening, intuitive understanding, ‘a commitment to helping people feel their best- naturally.

Chiropractic

I enjoyed playing sports and being physically active as a kid. I first became interested in health and nutrition in high school, but I also enjoyed math and science and ended up pursuing my undergraduate education in mechanical engineering at Oregon State University. While I was in engineering school, I had the opportunity to take the introductory course for athletic training, and I loved it. I didn’t know how to put the two subjects together and decided to finish my engineering degree and go to work. Several years later I went to a Chiropractor for the first time for shoulder pain that would not resolve on its own. God used that experience to open my eyes to the opportunity to use my problem-solving skills and curiosity about how things work combined with my interest in health, nutrition, and physical activity to help people as a Chiropractor. After 12 years working as a mechanical engineer, I decided to go back to school and moved back to Oregon to attend University of Western States in Portland. I graduated in 2021 and am on a path of learning more about how all aspects of our health work together from mental and emotional health and stress to sleep and nutrition. I have a heart to listen to people’s stories, come along side to teach, equip, and help people to improve their health, and to see people be healed from the inside out. I believe each patient has unique needs and responds to treatment differently, so it is important to work cooperatively with each individual and use the tools I have available that best fit his or her needs. My last 6 months of clinical work for school focused largely on neck and low back pain with symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness that radiate down the arms or legs. I tend to have success with these types of conditions using a variety of hands-on treatments, exercises, and modifications to posture and movement.
